29 As Jesus and his disciples were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed him. 30 Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!" 31 The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!" 32 Jesus stopped and called them. "What do you want me to do for you?" he asked. 33 "Lord," they answered, "we want our sight." 34 Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him. -Matthew 20:29-34
The crowd rebuked them...told them to quiet down like everyone else. "But the shouted all the louder." Jesus asked them for what they wanted... "WE WANT OUR SIGHT" Jesus had compassion and returned to them the gift of sight. They immediately followed Jesus.
Our sight is a wonderful gift and there are so many beautiful things around this world to see. My hopes with this blog is to show some sights that I have been blessed to experience. The important part of this passage isn't that they got their sight but who they got it from... God in Jesus Christ. "Immediately they received their sight and followed him..."
We want our sight... but the question is... what are we going to do with it once God gives it to us?
